Maryanne Halverson is an Early Childhood professional with over twenty years of experience. Fifteen of those years she was a Licensed Family Childcare business owner/facilitator. Her love to encourage, support, and provide tools and resources gave children the opportunities and experiences to learn and grow.

Her journey to become an author began when her son was three and exhibited his ADHA-like behaviors at warp speed. His daily adventures ignited mishaps with unyielding energy. For her mental health and well-being, she began to journal and channel her frustration and anxiety into her now published book Hungry James and Pops Too!

Maryanne lives with her husband and three dogs in Verona, WI. Together they have twelve grandchildren that fill their life with joy. When she is not writing or illustrating, you can find Maryanne playing the harmonica with her husband Merl, on acoustic guitar, performing as a duo in Just Merl and A Girl in and around the Madison and surrounding areas at: www.justmerlandagirl.com.

In her free time she loves being outdoors creating wildlife habitats, gardens for pollinators, and throwing the ball to their overactive lab, Nalla B.
